Who needs sleep anyway?

You really would have thought I'd have learnt by now: Caffeine the day before a long run is NOT a good thing.
Anyone who knows me will know I have a serious coffee problem - more specifically, a serious Costa problem (damn it, they just know how to reel me in), and so yesterday, with a busy day at a show and a Costa stall on hand, it was just too easy. Way too easy.
And so now, at 2.35am with unblinking, slightly manic eyes, I am considering the fact my alarm was due to go off in an hour anyway for this 18 mile run (holy £$"^%!*($£"!!) and what's a little thing like absolutely no daylight on the roads when you've got something like this to do?

I'm carbed up on just about anything and everything a runner shouldn't eat - hello Thorntons fudge chocolate, where have you been all my life? - and I'm about to tape up the ever-demanding knee. Bring on the run!
